The Ecuador Sustainable Projects team completed a site assessment trip to the Puca Chicta community in July 2009. The team is currently reviewing and analyzing the data from the trip to determine the appropriate next steps for moving the project toward the design and implementation phase. To learn more about this project and upcoming meetings email Tom or Emily.
The team successfully completed construction of a bank of six composting toilets for the Abraham Calazacon school serving 250 students. The team will await further requests for assistance from Yanapuma staff for the Bua community. The team plans to continue checking on the structure and composting system as part of additional trips to Ecuador. At this point, the team has re-focused to work in the Puca Chicta community of Ecuador.
