The news had said that this hospital was damaged but we have confirmed from others that it is operational and therefore will be able to make a difference right now.

Thank you all for your best wishes in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake in Haiti. This tragedy has impacted us very deeply. We have many family members and friends in the Port-au-Prince area. We are deeply blessed that immediate family members are alive and unharmed, We are all actively working to help those who were less fortunate during this disaster.

You may know from the news that many hospitals were damaged or destroyed. The Hospital in Petion-Ville, Hopital de la Communauté, is operational and is an excellent choice for contributions. Dr Edith Hudicourt, one of the first women doctors in Haiti, specialized at Harvard University, and taught medicine at the University in Haiti. She has done more pro bono work than any doctor we know in Haiti and your money will get excellent traction. She is also Ty's Great-aunt.
